Organize and run NICU holiday photo events

Work with Capturing Hopes to organize a holiday photo event in your local NICU. You do not need to be a photographer for this position. Organize everything from contacting the hospital to scheduling the families who sign up. Capturing Hopes will provide you with a step by step list on how best to do this. This position is best filled by a previous NICU parent or someone with knowledge of how a NICU runs. Holidays include: Valentine’s Day, NICU Superhero Day, Spring, Independence Day, Halloween, and Christmas Holidays. 

Social Media Sneak Peeks

 Help Capturing Hopes by connecting with NICU parents about their baby’s photos that will be posted on our social media pages. This includes use of both our Facebook page and our Instagram page. 

 

Nationwide Scheduling

 Keep our photographers informed and on track with photo sessions in their local areas. This includes emailing with both photographers and families to make sure sessions are filled in a timely manner and all protocol is followed. 

 

Holiday Event Prop Donations

 Reach out to vendors nationwide to obtain donations for all of our holiday events in hospitals nationwide. Holidays include Valentine’s Day, Spring, Independence Day, NICU Superhero Day, Halloween, and Christmas Holidays. 

 

Assist a photographer at a holiday event

Go in with the photographer(s) during a holiday event and assist them with either prop distribution to families or at keeping the schedule running smoothly for the day. These jobs are just as important as the photographer’s job on the day of events. 

 

Website Updating

 This includes updating the website when Capturing Hopes has new photographers, new content, holiday information, and other improvements or updates needed. An understanding of how a website works is important. Capturing Hopes uses PhotoBiz as our website home, it is easy to learn and use. 

 

Social Media NICU posts

 Find articles and information that would relate to our work in NICUs that can be posted on our social media pages for families to read. This includes posting the articles or other important posts at a time that works best. Coming up with other content for our social media is also encouraged, including throwback Thursdays, prematurity awareness posts, and other important posts that encourage engagement with the NICU community. 

 

Create forms for our organization 

Create forms as needed for our website that are legally sound. This includes consent forms and new sign up forms for hospital NICUS. Must have an understanding of legal wording and requirements. 

 

Email newsletters

 This includes sending a newsletter to our families and supporters with information on everything going on with Capturing Hopes, stories, fundraising info, and announcements. This requires experience and recommendation for an email platform that works well for newsletters and email lists. 

 

Administrative Assistant

 Assist with all things Capturing Hopes related and be hands on in every area of the organization. This would best be filled by an individual seeking volunteer hours or an internship for college. 

 

Fundraising

 Come up with a fundraising idea and head it up from start to finish for Capturing Hopes.
